As homeschooling parents, your children’s education depends on you! One of the very best things you can do is read to them.
Albert Einstein said, “If you want your children to be intelligent, read them fairy tales. If you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales.”
It’s true!
Research by the American Academy of Pediatrics has shown that reading to children builds vocabulary, literary and social skills, and stimulates brain development. Children that are read to while they are young end up way ahead of their peers.
But that’s not all! As homeschooling parents, we want to develop close relationships with our children and have them be the best of friends with each other.
Reading together creates those bonding moments. You get to travel together to amazing new lands and experience adventures – all without walking out the front door.
And hey… it’s super fun too!
